The sixteenth edition of the Indian Premier League has witnessed super sensational moments during the passage of play. In the end, Gujarat Titans and Chennai Super Kings were the two best teams that reached the final.

Chennai Super Kings were the first team to qualify for the IPL 2023 final. Gujarat Titans beat Mumbai Indians in the second qualifier and made it to the second consecutive IPL final.

As it turned out, the climax kept the fans on the edge of their seats. Chennai Super Kings won the game in the last ball as they pulled off the ropes in style, courtesy of a stellar batting effort from Ravindra Jadeja.

Gujarat Titans posted a humongous total of 214/4 in their quota of 20 overs. Sai Sudharsan top-scored for Gujarat Titans with 96 off 47 balls including 8 fours and 6 hits over the fence.

In reply, the rain stopped the play for quite a while. As a result, the game was trimmed to 15 overs as the DLS method came into play. CSK were tasked to chase 171 in 90 balls.

Both teams gave absolutely everything in the run-chase but in the end, CSK had the last laugh in the battle. When 10 runs were required off the last two balls, Ravindra Jadeja hit a six followed by a boundary off Mohit Sharma.

Chennai Super Kings got the better of Gujarat Titans by five wickets (DLS method). CSK won the fifth IPL title and equaled Mumbai Indians’ tally of five trophies.
