Demon King Finn Balor features on today’s WWE Money in the Bank news roundup

On last night’s RAW episode, Seth Rollins and Finn Balor recalled their match from WWE SummerSlam 2016. It was the match for the Universal Championship. Finn, wrestled as the Demon King, and defeated Rollins to become the Universal Champion.

Balor relinquished the title inside 24 hours due to injury and has not won a world title on the main roster since then. Rollins demanded the ‘bitter’ version of Balor to bring his 2016 version, subtly confirming that the Demon King may return for the UK PPV.

Cody Rhodes and Dominik Mysterio dominate today’s WWE Money in the Bank news roundup

WWE made two matches official for MITB on this week’s RAW. The first was a singles match between Cody Rhodes and Dominik Mysterio. Cody challenged Dominik for a match after he insulted him last week. Rhea Ripley accepted the challenge for Dominik.

The second match was a WWE World Heavyweight Championship match between Seth Rollins and Finn Balor. It is being hyped as a ‘match seven years in the making.’

Chad Gable thinks he is the best in the world

Chad Gable won a match against Erik on RAW this week. The Alpha Academy leader taught Maxxine Dupri how to execute an arm drag, and she pulled off the move on Valhalla near the ring. Speaking on RAW Talk, Gable stated that he was the best coach in the world.

“Let’s just remember that behind every great athlete is an even better coach, and I’m the best in the world, baby. We’re gonna keep working on your technique because you got some things to fix up, okay?” Gable told Dupri. 

It looks like the feud between The Alpha Academy and The Viking Raiders will culminate with a six-person mixed tag team match.
