England Fans On Twitter Wants ECB To Hire Justin Langer As The Next England Coach

A few days ago, Justin Langer resigned as the Head Coach of Australia. This is despite the recent success at the T20 World Cup and in the Ashes. At the other end of the spectrum, the role of the coach is also vacant with the England Men’s Team. In this article, we take a look at the Twitter reactions by a few England fans who want Justin Langer as the next England coach.

Justin Langer has quit as the coach of Australia

Justin Langer took over Australia Cricket when the team was suffering due to the ball-tampering scandal. He helped the nation retain the Ashes in 2019 and then recently, Australia defeated England 4-0 in the Ashes. Australia also won the 2021 T20 World Cup in UAE. However, Cricket Australia just offered him a six-month contract extension and hence, Langer decided to resign. It is said that he lacked the support of a few senior players and hence, made the announcement to move away from Australian cricket.

However, it has been a different story for the England Team. Chris Silverwood was under pressure as the red-ball team had been in poor form for the last few years. In Australia, the team could not put up a fight and suffered an embarrassing defeat. As an after-effect, Silverwood was sacked and currently, Paul Collingwood has been announced as the Interim Coach.
