England happens to be one of the busiest teams in the game. The team plays more Tests than any other squad. Even now, when most teams are preparing themselves for the 2022 T20 World Cup, England is currently involved in an intense Test series against South Africa. That said, the focus will shift to T20Is in September. On that note, here, we take a look at the England Cricket Team schedule for September 2022.

England is currently playing a three-match Test series against South Africa. South Africa won the first game while England levelled the series in the second one. Both were competitive games and hence, the expectations have heightened for the last match, which starts on September 8th.
After the Test series, England will travel for a T20I and Test series in Pakistan. The T20I tournament will include seven games, with six of them happening this month. Hence, the month will be extremely busy for the Englishmen.
On that note, here is England’s schedule for September:
- England vs South Africa 3rd Test – September 8th
- England vs Pakistan 1st T20I – September 20th
- England vs Pakistan 2nd T20I – September 22nd
- England vs Pakistan 3rd T20I – September 23rd
- England vs Pakistan 4th T20I – September 25th
- England vs Pakistan 5th T20I – September 28th
- England vs Pakistan 6th T20I – September 30th

England had to travel to Pakistan earlier but the plan was cancelled. Nevertheless, this assignment will happen in the month of September. It will be a good challenge, especially in Tests, for England to have a long tour in the subcontinent.
England will target to use the T20I series to freeze their squad for the T20 World Cup in October. There are quite a few spots, especially in the bowling department, that are up for grabs. The top-order also needs a fix. It needs to be seen if Jason Roy would be included in the XI. The management will hope to fix these issues ahead of October.
