Royal Challengers Bangalore are locking horns with Chennai Super Kings in the 24th match of the sixteenth edition of the Indian Premier League. The game is currently being staged at RCB’s fortress, M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
CSK batters made use of the wicket to better effect as they posted a humongous total of 226/6 in their designated quota of 20 overs. Devon Conway was the pick of the batters for CSK as he chipped in with 83 off 45 balls including six boundaries and six hits over the fence.
Shivam Dube expressed himself against RCB in the best way possible as he notched up his fifty off 25 balls. He scored 52 off 27 balls including two fours and five hits over the fence.
Harshal Patel was removed from the bowling attack in the final over
However, in the last over of CSK’s innings, Harshal Patel lost control of his bowling. In fact, he was taken off the bowling attack in the last over after he delivered 2 waist-high no-balls.
For the record, there were as many as 10 deliveries in the final over of CSK innings. Since Harshal Patel was removed from the attack, Glenn Maxwell bowled the remaining deliveries to finish off the over.
Glenn Maxwell also bowled a wide and conceded a six to all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja. However, the Australian also took the wicket of Ravindra Jadeja and kept MS Dhoni in check as he conceded just a single. RCB require 227 runs to win the game and it won’t be an easy task as they lost Kohli for 6 runs.
