It was drama at its peak in AEW as MJF was beaten to Pulp by Samoa Joe but then the match was riddled with surprises. Initially, when Joe’s music hit the titantron, he didn’t come down the podium. Instead, it was his face on the giant screen that appeared and threatened the defending champion MJF before an array of masked men came out.
MJF already pointed it out before that he had an injury and somehow all of it was forced and the fans didn’t like how it was shown. However, MJF being the noble hero asked the fans and Joe, that they will be going forth with the match despite being his shoulder heavily wrapped.
Instead of Joe, there were a couple of masked men who stepped out and started attacking MJF. Needless to say, MJF had struggles trying to brave the two but eventually he was overpowered and had to drop the title too.
To make matters worse, a third masked man came out of the dark and started attacking him with everything they had in their arsenal and eventually brought out a pipe to keep on inflicting a full-blown assault on the injured shoulder of MJF.

Inside the ring, it was eventually another masked man who inflicted a thunderous Heat Seeker and with their feet on the rope, they went onto win the battle as MJF was battered black and blue. Apparently before leaving the scene, two masked men revealed their identities while Samoa Joe then stormed out with a chair in his hand.
Eventually at the sight of this the masked men left while the Devil appeared on the screen stating, “It was a pleasure doing business with you.” When everyone thought that Joe was going to protect MJF, he turned on him and kept on hammering away the stripped champion. Twitter loved the entire scene and had hilarious predictions about the identity of the masked men.
