Former Indian cricketer Aakash Chopra has made a bold statement following Delhi Capitals’ (DC) poor performance in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023. He said that they need to change their coach and captain next year.

Delhi Capitals are having the worst possible season in the IPL 2023. They have failed to get going and have suffered some thrashing losses in the season. They were at the receiving end of five consecutive losses in their first 5 games, which dented their chances.
They, however, made a bit of a comeback then as they won a few games but they kept losing games as they. Delhi Capitals are placed 10th on the points table with just 4 wins from their 11 games. They have just 8 points and have faced 7 losses as well.
With the kind of competition, there’s around the middle part of the points table, it’s fair to say that their chances to qualify for the playoffs are all but done. Despite having a star-studded coaching setup, they haven’t quite cracked the code.
Their batting unit hasn’t clicked at as they have failed to set up under pressure situations, which has been the reason behind their downfall.

Following DC’s poor outing, Aakash Chopra lashed out at their coaching staff. He said that the franchise needs to change its coaching staff and captain as well to be successful next year. Speaking in a video posted on his YouTube channel, he said:
“Delhi capitals might have to change their coaching staff and the captain in the coming years.”
