3 Players Who Left Another Nation And Joined New Zealand Cricket Team Recently

The New Zealand cricket team is becoming one of the strongest teams in the cricket world gradually. Initially, the Blackcaps would falter at the ICC events, but now, they are the reigning ICC World Test Champions. They made it to the final of the previous ICC World Cup and ICC T20 World Cup as well.

There is a tough competition to get into the New Zealand cricket team these days. Their domestic cricket is getting better and better, while their players are getting more exposure to conditions in other countries because of the T20 leagues.

In fact, players from other nations turned their back on their team and decided to switch to the New Zealand cricket team in recent years. Here’s a list of three such players:

3. Luke Georgeson

Luke Georgeson played U-19 cricket for New Zealand, but then he signed a two-year deal with Cricket Ireland. He would have played for Ireland in the near future had he not withdrawn from the agreement.

Georgeson is playing domestic cricket in Ireland, but he has made it clear that he wants to play for the Kiwis at the senior level.
