Former Pakistani fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar couldn’t be any happier after seeing his country come through with flying colours in the first semi-final against New Zealand cricket team at Sydney Cricket Ground in Sydney.

Pakistan got the better of New Zealand by 7 wickets and cruised into the finals of the competition. Batting first, the Black Caps posted 152 for the loss of four wickets in their quota of 20 overs.

Daryl Mitchell who has helped the team in big games once again upped the ante against Pakistan in the semi-final clash. He top-scored with 53 off 35 balls (3 fours, 1 six). On the contrary, Shaheen Shah Afridi took 2 wickets to his name.

Shoaib Akhtar wishes Team India good luck against England

In response to New Zealand’s target, Pakistan chased down the target with five balls to spare. They will take on the winner between India and England at Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG).

Meanwhile, former Pakistani pacer Shoaib Akhtar has wished Team India good luck against the England cricket team. The highly-anticipated clash between the two giants will take place on November 10 (Thursday) at Adelaide Oval, Adelaide.

After wishing the Indian team good luck, Akhtar added that they will be waiting for India in Melbourne for a great game of cricket. “Dear India, good luck for tomorrow. We’ll be waiting for you in Melbourne for a great game of cricket,” Shoaib Akhtar tweeted.
