Mumbai Indians’ all-rounder Kieron Pollard has called it quits from the cash-rich Indian Premier League as a player. Yes, you read it right! He will no longer take part in the IPL as a player but will start a new chapter at Mumbai Indians as a batting coach.

The veteran all-rounder has been one of the integral parts of Mumbai Indians’ history. He has been loyal to the franchise for more than a decade, winning five trophies and two champions league titles to decorate the trophy cabinet.

His contribution to the Mumbai Indians’ franchise has never been in doubt. He extended his performances to the team as a batter, bowler, fielder and as a captain. As a result, he has succeeded as a four-dimensional material for the franchise.

The former West Indies’ player was signed by Mumbai Indians in IPL 2010 and the Caribbean went on to become one of the best in the business for the franchise. Even though he failed in one of the departments, he would make up for the other departments.

This is precisely the reason why he was one of the most valuable players for Mumbai Indians. Having been a loyal servant to the franchise, MI took to their official Twitter handle to pay a rich tribute to Kieron Pollard by posting a memorable video clip.

The short video clip starts with Pollard being signed up by Mumbai Indians in 2010 and his successful journey as a player at the franchise was exceptionally recorded. The all-rounder went on to hit most sixes for the franchise, i.e. 223.

He is also the second-highest run-getter for Mumbai Indians, aggregating 3915 runs for the franchise. Moreover, he has scored 180 runs in six IPL finals at a strike-rate of 195.65 where Mumbai Indians won five finals.
