3 Things Roman Reigns Has Not Achieved In WWE Yet

WWE looks up to the Island of Relevancy, guarded by the dominating faction ‘The Bloodline’ as the benchmark for accolades and accomplishments, and its leader, the Tribal Chief Roman Reigns, as the measuring stick of this generation.

Vince McMahon’s handpicked successor to the throne to lead the global juggernaut as the face of the company has proven himself to be one of the biggest box office attractions and perhaps the greatest WWE Superstar of his era, joining the ranks of Hulk Hogan, Steve Austin, John Cena and his own cousin, The Rock.

The Head of the Table’s rejuvenating gimmick debut at WWE SummerSlam 2020 has taken his career to greater heights and another reason for the major success of Roman Reigns under his heel persona is his unstoppable and dominating two-year-long reign as champion becoming the longest title reign of the modern era.

Apart from that, Roman has won a total of 9 overall championships and was the winner of the 2015 Royal Rumble match, carving out an impressive resume worthy of the face of the WWE. But even after adding various accolades to his illustrious resume, here are 3 major accomplishments still omitted from Roman Reigns’ career graph:

1. Roman Reigns has never won King of the Ring or WWE Money in the Bank briefcase

Roman Reigns’s journey to the top of the mountain began at the 2015 Royal Rumble match, where he outlasted 29 other Superstars to earn an opportunity to headline WrestleMania for the first time in his career, becoming one of his first major accolades in WWE as a singles competitor.

But the Tribal Chief is yet to capture its two counterpart accomplishments i.e., Money in the Bank and the King of the Ring tournament. Roman was close to capturing the MITB back in 2015, being inches away from grabbing the golden opportunity before Bray Wyatt appeared out of nowhere to take out the former Big Dog.

As far as the King of the Ring goes, the closest we have seen Roman Reigns get to the throne was decimating the last winner, Xavier Woods, after a brief altercation, ripping him off his King credentials and being crowned the real King of the WWE by his faction.

2. Longest title reign of all time

The record for the single longest World title reign of the modern era rightfully belongs to the Head of the Table Roman Reigns for his 700+days reign as champion that began at WWE Payback 2020, but he is still a long way from getting close to the all-time WWE record.

One of the most prestigious and realistically unattainable feats. in today’s wrestling world, it is held by WWE Hall of Famer Bruno Sammartino at seven years, eight months, and one day- a total of 2,803 days during his first reign as champion, winning the title from the inaugural champion, Nature Boy Buddy Rogers on May 17, 1963, in New York City and shockingly dropping it to Ivan Koloff on January 18, 1971.

3. Most WrestleMania main events

The Tribal Chief Roman Reigns, in his 10-year stint in WWE, has headlined its premier event, WrestleMania, a total of 6 times surpassing the likes of John Cena, Steve Austin, and Triple H.

However, even after operating in GOD mode, Roman Reigns is still three headliners behind from breaking the all-time record for most WrestleMania main event matches held by WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan at 8.
