Road Safety World Series In Dubai to feature popular retired players

The plan is to conduct two legs of the competition, one in India and then in UAE. Although not official, considering the COVID situation in India, the entire tournament might happen in Dubai. An official announcement is expected about the same.

The Indian Team won the previous edition of the competition. It was held in India and received a lot of encouragement from the viewers. Hence, the organizers have gone one step further to improve the commercial and visibility aspect of the tournament. A major step in this regard was signing 27th Investments-backed 27th Sports on an exclusive commercial rights deal.

It will be a nostalgic event for the fans

Apart from Sachin Tendulkar and Brian Lara, other popular retired cricketers who will be a part of the league are Jonty Rhodes, Carl Hooper, T Dilshan, Virender Sehwag, Yuvraj Singh and Brett Lee. The concept of the tournament lies in triggering a wave of nostalgia in the minds of cricket fans. In the previous edition, the return of the opening duo of Virender Sehwag and Sachin Tendulkar was a big hit. By packaging the idea with a high-octane cricket format, the organizers have promised loads of entertainment to the viewers. They also aim to get across an important message. Hence, there is positivity all around. The last season was a big hit in India last year and the result is likely to repeat in 2022, as well. In fact, with more ex-players joining in, it is likely that the upcoming campaign will be even better.
