Here is an interesting co-incidence between the Gujarat Titans and Lions after the former suffered the first loss

Gujarat Titans have so far been one of the finest teams in the ongoing edition as they managed to register three emphatic wins in their first three games, here is an interesting coincidence between the Gujarat Titans and Lions after the former suffered the first loss, but their campaign crashed against a solid wall in the form of Sunrisers Hyderabad as the ailing Orange Army dished out an impeccable statement to register their second win of the tournament.

However, an eerie coincidence was pointed out by the fans that would be nothing but just a chance affair but then in a cricket-crazy like India, it is very hard to miss out on even the smallest of affairs. The last time a franchise from Gujarat was a part of this cash-rich league, they started their campaign with a bang that saw them secure three impressive wins.

Gujarat Titans have been in the form of their life

Aaron Finch played three fine knocks for the Gujarat Lions back in 2016 that saw them chronicling three victories, sending their fanbase into an eruption of frenzied rapture. The latest edition of the tournament had the Titans being the latest franchise from the heart of Gujarat participating in the contest and they too have had a solid start to the campaign.

The Titans started their campaign with a win against another debutant, Lucknow Super Giants as Mohammed Shami was in supreme form razing through the batting order of the newcomers. The Delhi Capitals couldn’t pull off something significant either as their batting unit crumbled like a house of cards.

The Punjab Kings were stunned to witness a familiar foe laying waste to their aspirations as Rahul Tewatia dealt a couple of tidal strikes to send the Gujarat fans into an explosion of ecstasy as they secured a win in a tightly-contested encounter. Much to their surprise, a struggling Sunrisers managed to turn the tide around with an exemplary batting display that saw them securing an 8-wicket win.

Here is where the co-incidence lies. The last time a team from Gujarat was in the hunt, they started their campaign with three soaring wins. However, their first defeat came at the hands of the Sunrisers Hyderabad as their batters couldn’t rack up something significant and the Orange Army was simply too good at their batting unit to chase down a modest total without losing any wickets at all.

The 2016 campaign went really well for the Lions only to be defeated on the trot in the qualifiers and crash out of the tournament. Fans are hoping that maybe, the Titans can replicate the same scale of success that the Lions pulled off in 2016.
