Pakistan captain Babar Azam has urged his teammates to remember the game that they had played against India last year in Dubai and step onto the ground with the same body language that they had that day. Pakistan had last faced India at Dubai International Cricket Stadium during last year’s T20 World Cup and had won that game by 10 wickets.
According to Babar Azam, the Pakistani players have to take their minds back to that game and recall what they had done leading up to that game because it would bring the “feel good” factor to the Pakistan camp.
A video was uploaded by the official Twitter handle of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) where Babar was addressing his teammates and he said that despite the fact that Pakistan’s premier fast bowler Shaheen Afridi is not available for selection, his injury shouldn’t bring the morale of the team down.
Babar Azam asked the other fast bowlers of Pakistan to step up and take responsibility in Shaheen’s absence. “You should make sure that we don’t miss Shaheen,” Babar told his fast bowlers in the team huddle after Pakistan finished their last practice session before playing against India.
Don’t hesitate to implement your preparation on the ground: Babar Azam
Babar also asked his teammates to take their preparation to the ground. The Pakistan skipper said whatever the players have done in the nets, whatever gameplan they have with bat and ball, they should try and implement that during the game and shouldn’t be reluctant at all.

During the last India Vs Pakistan game in Dubai, Babar Azam himself played a pivotal role with the bat and it was the opening partnership between him and Mohammad Rizwan which had helped Pakistan chase down the target set by India without losing a single wicket. Both Babar and Rizwan had scored unbeaten half-centuries in that game.
