“PSL reminds me of Box Cricket League on Sony channel”, Twitter reacts as Multan Sultans score 150 runs in just 10 overs in yet another PSL run-fest

The ongoing Pakistan Super League is creating different records every evening. On Saturday, it was yet another run fest in the tournament and hence, there were a lot of reactions on social media. Here, we take a look at how Twitter reacted as Multan Sultans scored 150 runs in just 10 overs in yet another PSL run-fest.

Yet another run-fest in PSL

In the past two days, we saw a total of almost 500 runs in each game. Peshawar was unable to defend a score of 240 not just once but on two occasions. That itself showed the quality of the pitches, which are inclined heavily towards the batters.

On Saturday, too, it was a similar event. In the game between Multan Sultans and Quetta Gladiators, there are runs being scored at an absolute will. Usman Khan, the opening batter from Multan, scored a hundred within 10 overs.Β  He also got to the fastest hundred in PSL till now. The total runs by Multan in 10 overs was 156. At this rate, they are on the way to breaking many records in the history of the format.

Twitter reacts to the Multan Sultans scorecard

It is high time that something changes with respect to the state of the pitch conditions in the PSL. For a long time now, batters have got a massive advantage and it is turning out to be one batting line-up versus the other. Cricket is a game that takes place between the bat and the ball. Removing one department out of the equation will spoil the game and will also be a big put-off for the fans. The recent few games in PSL have further established this. The quality of PSL will go down. With other leagues such as the SA20 coming forward, it would be a difficult ride for PSL if the quality of pitches and cricket does not improve.
