“Not Everything Will Be A Fairytale”- Twitter Reacts As CSK Lose First 2 Matches In IPL Season For The First Time Ever

The Chennai Super Kings have been one of the most consistent teams in the Indian Premier League history. They have played in 12 seasons and qualified for the playoffs 11 times. However, in IPL 2022, the Chennai Super Kings have not had the best start. They lost their first 2 matches of the season for the first time in their IPL history.

In the past, the Chennai Super Kings recorded at least one win in their first two games. However, the same has not been the case in the 2022 IPL season. In their first match, the Chennai-based franchise lost to the Kolkata Knight Riders at the Wankhede Stadium. Now, in the second match, they suffered a defeat against the Lucknow Super Giants.

While the batting was below-par for the Chennai Super Kings in their first match, it was the bowling attack that let the team down in the second match. The CSK bowling attack failed to defend a 211-run target against the Lucknow Super Giants. Evin Lewis changed the game with a quickfire half-century for LSG.

Speaking to the host broadcaster after the match, CSK captain Ravindra Jadeja, who has lost his first 2 matches as captain, said:

“We had a very good start. But still, you have to take those catches. We could have taken those chances. I would say there was a lot of dew. The ball was not sticking in the hands. We need to practice with the wet ball next time.”
