WWE RAW Match Card: 5 Things Which Could Happen On This Week’s Episode (Ocober 3, 2022)

The road to the most extreme night of the year in the WWE i.e Extreme Rules culminates in nearly a week taking place on October 8 at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This week’s WWE RAW is the go home episode for the premium live event.

Billed as one of the most unique and creatively driven match cards in the long-standing history of the pay-per-view, this year’s edition will see almost every match on the card with a brutal and physically torturing stipulation.

As the go-home edition of the Monday Night RAW before Extreme Rules approaches its end, here are the 5 possible surprises that the WWE Universe can witness on this week’s episode of the flagship brand:

1. New match announced for Extreme Rules on WWE RAW

The Monster Among Men Braun Strowman has carved out a path of decimation ever since he made his huge return to the WWE, making the tag team division his target and particularly the Alpha Academy (Otis and Chad Gable) over the last few weeks.

The Strowman Express ran through Otis this past week on Smackdown and is set to collide with his partner Chad Gable on RAW. Another dominant victory over Gable could lead to the Alpha Academy challenging Strowman to a 2-on-1 handicap match at Extreme Rules with an interesting situation of Strowman’s one hand tied around his back, as reported by Xero News.

2. A New WWE Faction in the women’s division

Candice LeRae returned to WWE last week on RAW, putting the entire women’s locker room on notice. This week we will see her first post-return match against one-half of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion, Dakota Kai.

As one can expect her friends IYO Sky and Bayley looming in the shadows and ready to strike at the perfect opportunity, LeRae can beat the number game with an unexpected faction in the form of other former NXT Superstars, Raquel Rodriguez, Bianca Belair, and even Shotzi to combat the trio.

3. Rey Mysterio challenges Dominik

After undergoing a dark transformation under the mentorship of the demonic faction Judgment Day and receiving personal tips of destruction from the Nightmare Rhea Ripley, Dominik Mysterio has become a ruthless and corrupted man.

He has been tormenting everyone including his own father Rey Mysterio provoking him to strike his own son last week on RAW and continue to play mind games as directed by his stable mates. This mental torture can reach its breaking point this week on Monday Night RAW with Rey finally snapping and challenging Dominik to a match at Extreme Rules in the name-sake match.

4. Daniel Cormier shows up

A shocking announcement made recently revealed that MMA and UFC Legend Daniel Cormier will be the special referee for the Fight Pit match between Matt Riddle and Seth Rollins at WWE Extreme Rules.

A surprising turn of events could see Cormier show up earlier than scheduled on RAW this week to possibly preside over the final face-to-face encounter between the two Superstars maintaining order before all hell breaks loose inside the Fight Pit this Sunday.

5. The Way engages in a brawl

Ever since Johnny Gargano appeared on the scene making his huge WWE comeback, he has found himself in the crosshairs of his former friend and current Mr. Money in the Bank Austin Theory, getting in each other’s WAY to put it correctly on multiple occasions.

The go-home edition of RAW before the most extreme night of the year could see an all-out brawl breaking out between the former faction members, potentially leading to a one-on-one showdown between Gargano and Theory, either at Extreme Rules or Crown Jewel.
