Rohit Sharma owned KKR in style

He returned to the fold after missing out the first match against Chennai Super Kings as Mumbai Indians had a batting collapse against the Yellow Army.

Rohit Sharma dictated the KKR bowlers in style

He was off to a fiery start against the Knights as he took on the spinners early in the game.

He has been playing against Kolkata ever since 2009 as he was a part of the now-defunct Deccan Chargers from where he shuffled his allegiance to Mumbai Indians.

His knock against Kolkata helped him to cross the threshold of 1000 runs ane he became the first batsman to rack up this record.

The second man on the list is Suresh Raina who chose to hurt the same opponent with 955 runs. Raina was a part of Gujrat Lions and Chennai Super Kings.

The third and the fourth names on the list were David Warner and Virat Kohli whose maximum exploits came against Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals.

However, Sharma stands out in the list by a proverbial mile with almost a lead of 50 plus runs.

Sharma scored 33 runs against KKR before Sunil Narine managed to get the better of him with a lofted delivery. Trying to sweep him, he ended up shooting it miles in the sky that landed in the arms of Shubman Gill in the long-on boundary.

He also became the first batsman to hit 100 fours against KKR, the highest against a franchise.
