Rohit Sharma is one of the most improved Test batsmen in the world right now. The fact that he became the highest-ranked Indian batter on the ICC Test Rankings for Batsmen earlier today proves the same. There were some big changes in the ICC Test Rankings after the India vs. England Test series’ first three matches.

One of the biggest changes in the batsmen’s charts was that Indian opener Rohit Sharma has broken into the Top 5. He now has 773 rating points to his name. Sharma was brilliant with the bat in the home series against England earlier this year. He has continued the same way in the ongoing series in the United Kingdom.

Another massive change that happened in the ICC Test Rankings for Batsmen was that England captain Joe Root became the world number 1 batsman. Root has been in unbelievable form against India. Before the India vs. England series, Kane Williamson held the number one position. But now Root has returned to the top, claiming the top position in the batsmen’s charts for the first time in six years. Root has 916 rating points to his name now.
