The former Indian bowler Karsan Ghavri has come down hard on the senior players of the Indian team, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, and has asked how many breaks these two players need because they have already been given frequent breaks in recent times.
Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma were not included in India’s squad for the T20I series against South Africa and Ireland and they have now been given another break for the ODI series against West Indies.
According to Karsan Ghavri, who was in an exclusive conversation with Sportskeeda, one can’t ask for frequent breaks in the name of workload management, because playing international cricket is the highest honor that any cricketer can achieve and it should be at the top of the list of priorities for any cricketer, be it Virat or Rohit.
Karsan Ghavri also talked about the recent form of Virat Kohli and insisted that Virat has done some incredible things for Indian cricket and has won India many matches, but it shouldn’t guarantee his spot in the current Indian squad. If his form has gone downhill, his spot should be under scrutiny now.

Karsan Ghavri is not the only former Indian player questioning the spot of Virat Kohli in the Indian T20I team. The former Indian captain Kapil Dev also questioned Virat’s spot recently asking if Ravichandran Ashwin can be dropped from the test XI of India, why can’t Virat Kohli be dropped from the T20I XI?
Virat is expected to return to the Indian XI for the second T20I against England today and if it happens, it would be after a gap of a few months that Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma will play for India together. The last time it had happened was before the IPL in the T20I series against West Indies.
