2 changes Rajasthan Royals could do for their next game against SRH

Rajasthan Royals are in poor form at the moment. They started the tournament well but are now not winning a lot of games. Against Gujarat Titans, they suffered a disappointing loss. Now, the management could make a few changes in the squad. Their next game is against Sunrisers Hyderabad on Sunday. Here, we take a look at two changes Rajasthan Royals could do for their next game against SRH.

1) Donovan Ferreira for Devdutt Padikkal

Devdutt Padikkal’s batting position has been a concern for RR throughout the season. While he has been okay when he has come on to bat in the powerplay, he has been disappointing in the middle overs and at the death. Sanju Samson must bat at No.3 and hence, it does not make sense to have Padikkal in the playing XI.

Instead, RR could try someone like Donovan Ferreira. The South African cricketer can operate in the middle-order and would surely be a better bet than Padikkal at the moment. Joe Root is also an option but the Englishman would want to bat at No.3. That would be the same case as Padikkal’s.

2) Kuldeep Sen for Adam Zampa

Kuldeep Sen for Adam Zampa is one of the changes Rajasthan Royals could do for their next game against SRH. It is not sure if it is due to injury that Kuldeep Sen is not getting consistent game-time. It is understandable in that case but if he is fit, RR should ensure that they get four overs from the bowler.

A player with raw pace, Kuldeep can be useful in the middle-overs. He would add a new dimension to the bowling attack. Also, it would be better if Kuldeep is used at the death as at least, the youngster would get to learn in case he does not do well. Both Jason Holder and Adam Zampa have not been consistent for RR. Hence, they should look to use the likes of Kuldeep Sen, Navdeep Saini, KM Asif and Murugan Ashwin on the roster.
