2 bold decisions RCB should take for their next game against CSK

Royal Challengers Bangalore won the game against Delhi Capitals on Saturday. However, a few tactics, especially in the batting department, were not great. A few players, too, are not in good form. The team’s next game will be against CSK on Monday. On that note, here, we take a look at two bold decisions RCB should take for their next game against CSK.

1) Play Shahbaz Ahmed at No.3.

Before the DC game, Shahbaz did not get many chances with the bat. Although it was a short stay against DC, he did leave an impression with some good shots. Looking at his form and Mahipal Lomror’s struggle against DC, it may not be a surprise if RCB uses the West Bengal lad at No.3.

It would be a risk, though, that would weaken the lower middle-order, which has some out-of-form cricketers. Nevertheless, against the likes of Ravindra Jadeja, RCB needs a left-hander in the top-order and they could rely on Shahbaz for the role.

2) Play Wanindu Hasaranga ahead of Dinesh Karthik in the batting order

Using Wanindu Hasaranga ahead of Dinesh Karthik in the batting order is one of the bold decisions RCB should take for their next game against CSK. It is surprising to note that RCB has not been using the batting abilities of Wanindu Hasaranga. The Sri Lankan man has delivered on certain occasions at the international level and it is surely worth giving him a go with the willow.

Of course, it would depend completely on the situation but it would be best if the management delays DK’s arrival point to the last possible extent. DK is a specialist at the death and has a good range against pace. However, that cannot be said about his game against the spinners. Hasaranga can be a good option against spinners and hence, he must be used higher up the order.
