2 New Zealand players whom Daniel Vettori might target for SRH

During his time at Royal Challengers Bangalore, Daniel Vettori signed a number of New Zealand cricketers. Having knowledge about them from local sources and utilizing it to their advantage is common with Head Coaches. Even Ricky Ponting has backed some lesser-established Australians at Delhi Capitals. Therefore, it won’t be a surprise if we see a few Kiwi names on the roster for Sunrisers Hyderabad next season. Here, we take a look at the list of two talented Kiwi players whom Daniel Vettori might target for SRH in IPL 2024 Auctions.

1) Jimmy Neesham

Despite being an experienced name, Jimmy Neesham is yet to leave a mark in the IPL. However, that is also down to the fewer chances he has received. Probably his returns in the bowling department may not be excellent and hence, teams are not backing him.

Nevertheless, he has the experience and skills to have a good IPL season. SRH anyways does not have a reliable medium-pace bowling all-rounder in their ranks. Hence, Vettori could target someone like Neesham and use him depending on the combination and the conditions.

2) Adam Milne

Adam Milne is one of the Kiwi players whom Daniel Vettori might target for SRH in IPL 2024 Auctions. Milne has played for teams such as RCB, CSK and MI but is yet to establish himself in the IPL. One of the major reasons for this is his fitness. If he can retain his fitness, due to his pace and other attributes, Milne would be a top draw in a tournament like the IPL.

Even in IPL, it was Vettori who introduced the player. SRH has some overseas pacers but they don’t have similar attributes to that of Kartik Tyagi or Umran Malik. There might be a replacement needed in this regard and hence, the franchise can target Milne.
