“I’m Assuming”- Wrestling Veteran Discloses Probable Reason Why Becky Lynch Vs Ronda Rousey Never Happened In WWE

The prospect of a one-on-one showdown between Ronda Rousey and Becky Lynch was nothing short of a dream match for WWE fans. However, despite the buzz and anticipation, the two formidable Superstars never squared off inside the WWE ring. Wrestling veteran Konan recently shared his perspective on why this highly anticipated matchup never came to fruition.

In 2018, Becky Lynch skyrocketed to the top of WWE’s roster after a shocking incident during an invasion angle on Monday Night RAW. Her rise to stardom was meteoric, and she found herself on a collision course with Ronda Rousey, setting the stage for a potentially epic encounter at WrestleMania 35.

Regrettably, the dream match took a different turn when Charlotte Flair was added to the main event, turning it into a Triple Threat match. Speaking on the Keepin It 100 Official podcast, wrestling veteran Konan offered his take on why WWE never booked the highly anticipated one-on-one clash between Rousey and Lynch.

Konan speculated, “I’m assuming that it could be anything, they don’t get along… But that should not matter. They should be able to do business, and maybe the fact that they were going to be involved in a long storyline and Ronda was like, ‘Dude, I’m out this day.'”

What did Becky Lynch and Ronda Rousey do at WrestleMania 39?

While the dream match between Ronda Rousey and Becky Lynch never came to pass, both Superstars continued to make significant impacts in WWE. Rousey made her return earlier this year, teaming up with Shayna Baszler in the women’s tag team division, while Becky Lynch engaged in rivalries with the likes of Bayley and Damage CTRL on Monday Night RAW.

In the end, Rousey and Lynch each held the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships in a different partnership within the same year. But as Rousey and Baszler’s relationship deteriorated over time, their paths diverged, resulting in a contentious feud and perhaps Rousey’s final encounter for the company.
