“New Fridge Please”- Twitter Reacts As Nitish Rana’s 6 Breaks Glass Door Of A Refrigerator At SRH’s Dugout

The 25th match of the 2022 edition of the Indian Premier League is currently underway at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai, where the Sunrisers Hyderabad are battling the Kolkata Knight Riders. SRH captain Kane Williamson won the toss and decided to field first. A half-century from Nitish Rana powered the Kolkata Knight Riders to a score of 175 runs in their 20 overs.

KKR got off to a shaky start. They lost the key wickets of Aaron Finch, Venkatesh Iyer and Sunil Narine in the powerplay, but a good partnership between Shreyas Iyer and Rana stabilized the innings. Iyer lost his stumps to Umran Malik, inviting Sheldon Jackson to the middle.

Jackson could not score big, but Rana held one end and scored a half-century as the Kolkata Knight Riders inched closer to the 150-run mark. A great finish from Andre Russell ensured that the Sunrisers Hyderabad received a 176-run target to complete a hat-trick of wins in IPL 2022.

Speaking to the host broadcasters after the first innings, Sunrisers Hyderabad all-rounder Marco Jansen, who returned with figures of 1/26 in four overs, said:

“It felt like I was bowling in Durban or Centurion back home. There was some nice carry and nice seam for the pacers. I think it’s a good total but I do think we can chase it down since there’s a bit of dew. I’m confident our batters can chase it down.”

Nitish Rana broke the glass door of a fridge during his innings against Sunrisers Hyderabad

On the opening ball of the 13th over of the Kolkata Knight Riders innings, Nitish Rana hit a six off Umran Malik’s bowling in the third man region. The ball crossed the boundary line, bounced once and then hit the glass door of a fridge at the Sunrisers Hyderabad dugout.
