The Super Giants shared a brief video of their new logo, and many fans thought that it was a combination of the Rising Pune Supergiant logo and the Pune Warriors India logo.

The Super Giants will make their IPL debut in the 2022 season. The Sanjeev Goenka group bought the franchise ahead of the 15th edition of the Indian Premier League. Before this, the group owned the Rising Pune Supergiant team in the 2016 and 2017 editions of the Indian Premier League.

While Ahmedabad went for the trio of Hardik Pandya, Shubman Gill and Rashid Khan, the Lucknow Super Giants signed the trio of KL Rahul, Marcus Stoinis and Ravi Bishnoi.

Besides that, the Super Giants have also signed Gautam Gambhir as their mentor. The head coach of the team is Andy Flower, whereas the assistant coach is former Indian cricketer Vijay Dahiya.
