Former WWE Women’s Champion says she is “Done In Wrestling”

Multi time Women’s champion Mickie James may have quietly retired from all forms of wrestling, she has revealed while answering a fan on twitter.

The former WWE superstar had lost the Impact Knockouts title at the Sacrifice pay per view and had a few matches post that but hadn’t appeared on TV since a month. In a follow up tweet to the question she has said that “I’d rather bow out screaming ‘Women’s Wrestling Matters’ from the top of the mountain than the valley” which says that she may be finished as a wrestler.

If she is really done, we would like to thank her for all the memories throughout the years and wish her the best in all her future endeavors.

Plans for tonight’s SmackDown dominate today’s WWE Clash at the Castle news roundup

Female performers find it hard to get featured in wrestling shows which is predominantly a male dominated industry. However, in tonight’s Friday night SmackDown, there will be no dearth of women’s only segments as WWE have confirmed it.

First will be Raquel Rodriguez and Aliyah against Xia Li and Shotzi continuing the tag team tournament. Then there’s the contract signing between Liv Morgan and Shayna Baszler as they are scheduled to fight each other WWE Clash at the Castle 2022 on September 3 in Cardiff, Wales.

Morgan’s arm is badly hurt from the match with Ronda Rousey at SummerSlam and she received boos from the audience in abundance last week because they believe that Rousey is the real champion as she got pinned by fluke. But Morgan is a babyface, so it will be interesting to see the crowd’s reaction this time around. Rousey is currently under suspension but if the grapevine is to be believed, she may have a role at Clash at the Castle.

Tonight’s show also has many top male superstars like Shinsuke Nakamura, Gunther, Karrion Kross among others which will make for a thrilling watch.
