Hence, there was a conflict, and CSK could not buy back players such as Faf du Plessis and Shardul Thakur. Therefore, they had to involve themselves in the market to get a replacement. Meanwhile, it was surprising to see that Delhi Capitals actually bid for fewer players than CSK. Kiran Kumar Grandhi and co. were on fire on Day 1. They went after most players who came under the hammer. However, on the second day, they were reserved and had a list of players on whom they want after.
A hole or two in each team
After the conclusion of the auctions, it seems that there are a couple of holes in every franchise. This was expected as the tournament had increased the number of participants. It now needs to be seen if that would have an effect on the quality of the league. IPL 2022 is likely to start by the end of March.
