“It’s 200% confirmed that we are not going to win the WorldCup2023 under Rahul Dravid,” Twitter lash out at the Indian head coach following a home series loss against Australia

Rahul Dravid hasn’t performed well as a coach of the team.

Fans on Twitter reacted after India suffered another series loss under Rahul Dravid. They were disappointed with the performance of the team under the head coach in the Australia series and said that if the former Indian cricketer continues to coach, the team won’t want World Cup.

India suffers home series loss under Rahul Dravid for the first time since 2019

Rahul Dravid’s tenure as a coach hasn’t been fruitful as well. Like his batting heroics, the former Indian cricketer hasn’t been able to achieve good results in his tenure as a coach.

Ever since he took the leadership role, India has failed to win big games. They lost a series in South Africa, a Test against England, Asia Cup 2022 and T20 World Cup 2022. If this was not enough, under him India has suffered a home ODI series loss as well.

The Men in Blue were thumped by Australia 2-1 in the three-match ODI series. The series went into the decider in Chennai, where the hosts displayed a poor performance and failed to chase the target of 270 runs. Notably, India lost the last series at home against Australia as well.

With World Cup 2023 around the corner, there have been many concerns about the Indian team. The Rohit Sharma-led of late hasn’t been up to mark and is not performing to their potential. With only a few ODI’s left ahead of the tournament, coach Dravid needs to pull his socks up and bring the best out of his players.
