“Won’t consider the 2021-22 series as ‘real Ashes’” Stuart Broad

Australia thrashed England by 4-0 in the last time when two greats clashed in the Test series. The home side was extremely dominant down under as they made look English team clueless.

With Ashes 2023 around the corner, Stuart Broad made a bold statement and said that he wouldn’t consider the 2021-22 series as ‘real Ashes’ and he considered it as void. His statement, however, didn’t go well with many Australian greats, who lashed out at him.

“I mean, it was a little odd. We were all there and playing so it was a little bit odd, you know? He’s a nice guy and loves throwing out some good banter so it’s all part of it. It certainly wasn’t an ideal scenario.

“But the whole world was going through it and we were in the middle of a pandemic, so we couldn’t really complain too much. We were actually out there being able to do what we love, so I don’t really have much more to add to it,”

Steve Smith is currently playing the county championship and is preparing himself for the county championship.
