Jasprit Bumrah is one of the most highly-rated fast bowlers in the world, given his incredible capability and potential. However, he has been out of competitive action for quite a long time now.

The premier paceman had to miss the Asia Cup 2022 and the ICC T20 World Cup 2022 due to an injury. He was expected to be back in action for the home series against New Zealand recently.

However, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) didn’t want to risk playing the paceman now, given that the ICC WTC Final and the ICC ODI World Cup 2023 are scheduled to be held this year.
