“Imagine KL Rahul walking out for toss in semis,” Indian fans on twitter worried about fitness of Rohit Sharma after skipper spotted with heavy bandage on forearm

Rohit Sharma had got hit on his forearm earlier in the day while facing throwdowns in the nets

The Indian team management as well as the Indian fans are a bit worried at the moment because of an injury to the Indian captain Rohit Sharma, who injured his forearm earlier today while batting in the nets ahead of the T20 World Cup semi-final game against England.

Rohit immediately went out of the nets because he was in pain and he didn’t want to aggravate the injury any further by continuing to bat after the blow, but only after a few minutes, Rohit returned to the nets and batted again and he actually timed the ball better after coming back, which suggested that the injury was not a major one.

When the net session ended, Rohit’s forearm was heavily bandaged, but as per the reports, the Indian skipper is likely to be available for the game against England. However, the assessment of Rohit’s injury will be done tomorrow because it’s very important to how he feels the next morning after the blow.

The fact that the forearm was heavily bandaged could be out of precaution or might also be because Rohit was still feeling the pain, but it doesn’t seem like a major injury at this point because Rohit, after the net session, clicked photos with a couple of fans and looked in good spirits.

Leadership of Rohit Sharma has been an important factor behind India’s success

Rohit Sharma might not have scored a lot of runs for India in the ongoing T20 World Cup, but his leadership has been a very important factor behind India’s success and the Indian team management would want the captain available for the showpiece clash against England.

Some of the Indian fans, however, are still a bit worried because there has been no official word from the Indian camp yet and it will only be in the press conference tomorrow that it can be truly established what’s the status of Rohit’s fitness.

I write a bit on cricket and I am more interested in technical and tactical side of the game, rather than bravado.
