In what has been the latest development as per the reports in ANI, Chetan Sharma has resigned from the chief selector post of BCCI. The development came after he revealed a few inside things during a sting operation by a TV news channel.

The former Indian cricketer made some shocking revelations that shook the entire Indian cricketer fraternity. He also shed light on some inside scenes of Indian cricket and also opened up about the rift between Sourav Ganguly and Virat Kohli among many other topics.

The report also suggested that BCCI Secretary Jay Shah accepted his resignation and the official statement is expected to be released soon. Chetan Sharma, notably, was retained as the chairman of the selectors.

After the T20 World Cup 2022, the BCCI sacked all the selectors and after that, they reappointed Chetan Sharma as the chief selector while naming  Shiv Sunder Das, Subroto Banerjee, Salil Ankola, and Sridharan Sharath as the other four as a part of the selection committee.
