CSK Management Provides An Update On Ambati Rayudu’s Availability For The Next Game

The first match of the second phase of the 2021 edition of the Indian Premier League happened yesterday at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. The Chennai Super Kings and the Mumbai Indians faced off in the opening match. A player who has played for both teams in the IPL, Ambati Rayudu was a part of the game as well. He was in the CSK playing XI.

Chennai Super Kings captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni called the toss right and decided that his team will bat first at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. However, the decision seemingly backfired as Trent Boult and Adam Milne ran through the Chennai Super Kings top-order. A special performance from Ruturaj Gaikwad and DJ Bravo saved the day for the Chennai Super Kings and eventually helped them win the match.

Adam Milne and Trent Boult’s fiery spells

As mentioned ahead, the two Kiwi fast bowlers of the Mumbai Indians team, Adam Milne and Trent Boult troubled the Chennai Super Kings batsmen a lot in the powerplay overs. Boult dismissed Faf du Plessis and Suresh Raina, while Milne picked up the wickets of Moeen Ali and MS Dhoni.

On top of that, a fast ball from Milne hit Ambati Rayudu on his hand, and he had to retire hurt soon after. Rayudu had not opened his account, and he did not come out to bat later in the innings as well. Hence, some Chennai Super Kings fans are worried about his availability for the upcoming match against the Royal Challengers Bangalore.

Will Ambati Rayudu play against Royal Challengers Bangalore in IPL 2021?

It seems like the injury that Ambati Rayudu suffered is not so series. According to the CEO of the Chennai Super Kings team Kasi Viswanathan, the X-ray reports showed no fracture. Hence, Rayudu is most likely to be a part of the CSK playing XI for the match against the Royal Challengers Bangalore.

“His X-ray report showed no fracture and considering we have a few days before we play the next game against RCB, he should be available for selection,” the CEO of Chennai Super Kings informed ANI.
