‘Commentators should improve…,’ – Rishabh Pant takes a sly dig at commentators after the Ahmedabad Test

Star of the Indian Team’s amazing victory against the England Cricket Team in the recently concluded Test match in Ahmedabad, Rishabh Pant, came out and made out a comment regarding his quirky comments on the field and how the commentators should improve their work if his comments were being liked more than what they have to say, when on air.

In the match, after which Rishabh came out and made this quirky comment, he starred with the bat in hand. The wicketkeeper-batsman, hit a century in India’s second innings, helping the team get to a decent total and eventually winning the match by an innings and 25 runs. That win helped the team to reserve a seat in the Finals of the World Test Championship, where they will be playing against New Zealand at the Lord’s Cricket Ground.

Rishabh Pant won the man of the match award for his century inning

It all happened during the post-match presentation, where the renowned commentator, Harsha Bhogle in the post-match presentation, asked Pant about his comments from behind the stumps, and Pant gave a hilarious reply, asking the commentators to step up their game, in the condition that the viewers were enjoying listening to his comments from behind the stumps, over their commentary.

Pant said, ‘Ab sir yeh mera compliment hai ya thoda aapko problem ho raha hai toh aap improve karo,’ which translates to, ‘Sir I don’t know if this is a compliment for me, or you guys should improve your work if you are having a problem with it.’ It is nothing new that Rishabh Pant’s clips after every match that he plays, while behind the stumps, start to do rounds on the internet, but this comment of his must-have surely left the commentators, scratching their heads.

Rishabh Pant since the time he has been inducted into the team as a fulltime wicket-keeper batsman has been showing everyone what he is made off, by pulling off match-winning performances one after the other and shutting down his critics by his antics behind the stumps. The way forward for the Indian team looks good as they have now found a reliable batsman who can do some awesome glove work from behind the stumps, in the form of Pant and he himself, given the hard worker he is would make sure that he gives his 100 per cent, helping the team to win matches.
