The T20 format has seen a lot of new leagues enter the fray. However, Bangladesh Premier League is one tournament that is a veteran in this race. It was way back in 2012 that the first edition of the tournament was held. The ninth season will start on January 6th. A lot of games will happen in Dhaka. Here, we look at the pitch report of Shere Bangla National Stadium and the weather conditions in Dhaka for BPL 2023.
BPL is a tournament that is not very popular right now. With a few other leagues happening at around the same time, top stars are also not available for the competition. Hence, it is interesting to see how the fans will receive the tournament. Nevertheless, top Bangladesh cricketers like Litton Das and Shakib Al Hasan will be a part of the tournament while many popular Pakistan players will also play in the league. English players such as Dawid Malan will also play in the league. The board will hope that the tournament helps them both from the cricketing aspect and also from a commercial point of view.

Dhaka, obviously, hosts a lot of international games. Till now, this venue has witnessed a total of 59 T20I encounters. Out of this, teams batting second have won 30 games. Hence, there is not much in it when it comes to the toss.
Bangladesh usually offers good tracks for the spinners and with an average first batting score of 142, we may not expect high scoring games in BPL 2023, especially at this venue.

Temperatures will vary between 28 and 18 degrees Celsius in January. These will be decent conditions for the games to happen.
Not even one day is predicted to have rainfall this month. Hence, we can expect complete uninterrupted action at Dhaka.
