Ahead of the start of the Women’s Premier League, Royal Challengers Bangalore Women were one of the teams to watch out for in the competition, considering the fact that they had top players in their arsenal.
However, as it turned out, RCB Women failed to kick-start the season properly as they ended up losing game after game in the season. As it turned out, Smriti Mandhana and Co were the first to lose the first four games in a row.
However, RCB Women breathed a sigh of relief after they opened their account with a win over UP Warriorz in their fifth game. They went on to win the second game by beating Gujarat Giants by 8 wickets in Mumbai on March 18.
RCB Women have been knocked out of the Women’s Premier League 2023
Despite losing four games on the trot, they signed off the season with two wins. They would be disappointed with the way how things turned out. However, they will take some positives from this season such that they can do well in the upcoming season of the WPL.
Out of the five teams (Mumbai Indians Women, Delhi Capitals Women, Royal Challengers Bangalore Women, Gujarat Giants and UP Warriorz) that took part in the competition, three teams qualified for the playoffs.
Mumbai Indians Women, Delhi Capitals and UP Warriorz have qualified for the playoffs. On the other hand, RCB Women and Gujarat Giants were knocked out of the competition.
Mumbai Indians Women can take pride in the fact that they were the first team to qualify for the playoffs. Having played six matches in the league stage so far, they have won five games and lost just one game. MI Women collected 10 points.
On the other hand, Delhi Capitals are second on the table with 8 points from six games (6 wins, 2 defeats). UP Warriorz are third on the table with 8 points (4 wins, 3 defeats).

Been saying it from the first day of WPL, they wont make it. Stars cannot guarantee team success. There has to be a feeling of togetherness which was lacking!
