8 Players Who Returned To Their Old IPL Team After Representing Other Franchises

IPL 2022 Mega-Auctions have led to a major reshuffle in the composition of all franchises. While some players have joined another franchise for the first time, some of them have returned to the team that they were once part of. In fact, there are plenty of examples of the same. On that note, in this article, we take a look at eight players who returned to their old IPL team in IPL 2022 after representing other franchises.

1) Dinesh Karthik to Royal Challengers Bangalore

Dinesh Karthik is one of the players who returned to their old IPL team in IPL 2022 after representing other franchises. After Yuvraj Singh was released, RCB procured DK at INR 10.5 Cr for IPL 2015. However, he could return with just 141 runs and hence, was later released. Since then, the wicket-keeper has spent time in Delhi and in Kolkata. However, for IPL 2022, he will make a return to RCB. The franchise hired his services at INR 5.5 Cr.

2) Karn Sharma to Royal Challengers Bangalore

Not many know but Karn Sharma actually started his career at RCB. In fact, back in 2009, the leg-spinner played one game for the franchise but he was dropped after the game. At IPL 2022 Auctions, Delhi re-hired Warner and hence, it will be a comeback for the Australian.

Although KS Bharat has hogged the limelight only recently, not many know that he was first part of IPL back in 2015. He was in the Delhi squad but did not get a game. For IPL 2022, he has been brought back and could also get a few chances.
