“Cody could have been a megastar”- Kurt Angle expresses disappointment in WWE’s decision to extend Roman’s title reign

Kurt Angle has always been a phenomenal wrestling figure calling the shots for WWE for more than a decade. His feuds across the ring have been nothing short of absolute entertainment and the kind of fights that we have seen him dishing out in the ring have always raised our hopes up high.

From mimicking Stone Cold’s beer truck to entangling countless wrestlers in the ankle lock, Kurt Angle has been one of the pennant-bearers of the attitude era. Now that he is not very actively involved in the wrestling circuit, he has chosen to do a show of his own, rather a podcast that talks about WWE, the ring and a lot more.

Here is what Kurt Angle had to say about Cody Rhodes

Of late WWE has gone through a lot of discussion about Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns and many fans and experts have to believe that the Wrestlemania should have been the final day of Reigns’ title run as it has already been too prolonged. More importantly, if someone was actually qualified enough to claim the titles it would have been none other than the American Nightmare.

Now Kurt Angle also opened up on the topic and had a clear explanation about why this move of WWE may backfire for the Universe. Kurt said on the show, “I’m not going to beat up on Roman Reigns because he is the man. He deserves to be. But we’re in a time now where if you’re a champion for three years, that’s a little long.”

Roman is now probably having an extended reign that may backfire according to the former Olympic gold-medallist

He further added, “Roman has an opportunity to make a wrestler. He could have made Cody into a megastar, which Cody is already a star, but he would have been a megastar if he would have won at WrestleMania. That’s just my opinion.”
