Twitter Erupts As CSK Makes Stunning Comeback To Win 4th IPL Title

CSK wins its 4th IPL title

CSK won Qualifier 1 to straightway make an entry into the final encounter. However, KKR had to win two games to get to the summit clash. Having reached the final game, KKR struggled to give a tough fight to CSK as the MS Dhoni-led unit gained a handsome win by 27 runs.

It was the CSK openers who set up the game in the first innings. While they shared an opening partnership of 61 runs, the likes of Robin Uthappa and Moeen Ali took charge in the middle-overs to ensure that CSK never lost momentum. In the bowling innings, CSK was aided by a twin-strike by Shardul Thakur that changed the course of the game. Eventually, the required rate was too high, and KKR succumbed to the pressure.

CSK was the first team to get eliminated from IPL 2020. It was for the first time in the franchise’s history that it was happening. MS Dhoni had then said that his team would come back stronger. CSK has done just that and they now have four trophies in their cabinet. While they reached the playoffs comfortably, they proved that they were a class apart with a convincing win in the finals.
