Indian Premier League is now a tournament that is close to two decades old. Interestingly, some franchises have had more than 150 players don the jersey of the team till now. Here, we take a look at the list of three franchises that have more than 150 players representing them in IPL history.

Note: The list is updated as of April 11th, 2024.

1) Royal Challengers Bengaluru – 163

Will Jacks, who made his debut for RCB against Mumbai Indians recently, is the 163rd player to represent Royal Challengers Bengaluru. The Englishman had a tough outing but he is set to be backed by the management because he showed promise.

RCB has used a lot of resources in the history of IPL. The management usually does not give a long rope to players and that is also one of the reasons why the team is yet to perform consistently in the tournament.

2) Delhi Capitals – 156

Delhi Capitals is one of the franchises that have more than 150 players representing them in IPL history. Earlier called the Delhi Daredevils, the team based out of the capital city of Delhi has also not had a good run in the IPL. Even they have used more than 150 players in the competition.

Delhi is one of the teams that has severely underperformed. Barring the first season and after the IPL 2018 Mega Auction, the team has been very poor. The franchise, under the leadership of Rishabh Pant, will look to take a new direction now.

3) Punjab Kings – 153

Punjab Kings have also not been great in the IPL. The team, leaving a couple of seasons, did not even qualify for the playoffs.

It is no of surprise that they are one of the teams who have used the highest number of players. Going forward, with the strong core they have now, PBKS will look to perform well.
