4 players who have scored the most ducks in IPL history

Scoring a run is extremely critical to a batter’s innings. With the record of scoring a duck out of the way, it serves as a slight relief for a batter. However, at times, bowlers are also at the top of their games and a batter may not be in control always. In IPL, we see batters getting out for a duck very often. Here, we take a look at four players who have scored the most ducks in IPL history.

1) Rohit Sharma – 16 in 237 innings

Rohit Sharma is an unfortunate part of this record. Although he is one of the best batters that the competition has seen, he is a part of this record.

IPL 2023 has especially been difficult for him. He is not striking well and is looking out of confidence. Recently, he scored two consecutive ducks that made him go to the top of this list.

2) Sunil Narine – 15 in 94 innings

Sunil Narine is also a part of this list of players who have scored the most ducks in IPL history. The KKR cricketer knows just one way to bat. This method comes with a lot of risks.

It is understandable that Narine has not troubled the scorers much on a few occasions. It might not be a surprise if Narine further extends this record.

3) Mandeep Singh – 15 in 98 innings

Mandeep Singh has had an interesting IPL career. It has been around a decade since he made his debut and he still has played only 98 innings.

He has the habit of losing focus at the start sometimes. Hence, he has scored 15 ducks in his IPL career. Mandeep is currently part of KKR.

4) Dinesh Karthik – 15 in 217 innings

Dinesh Karthik is a part of this list of players who have scored the most ducks in IPL history. DK has played at various positions in the batting line-up in IPL. However, he has recently become popular as a finisher.

In this role, it is required to take instant risks. Hence, there is a possibility of losing wicket early, too. Therefore, he is a part of this list.
