In the first week of August, the men in blue will be involved in the T20I series against West Indies. Although the visitors won the ODI series, they will be aware of the challenge in the T20I format. After this series, it will be a short break for the senior cricketers. Meanwhile, some of the rising talents will travel to Zimbabwe for an ODI series under the leadership of Shikhar Dhawan.

It is at the end of the month that India will kickstart its real challenge. They take on Pakistan on the 28th of August and multiple narratives could arise with this encounter. A game against a qualifier is also scheduled at the end of the month.

An important month for India

The West Indies series will offer a clear direction for the management with respect to the T20 World Cup. This tournament will decide the squad for the Asia Cup 2022. Most of these members will be a part of the mega event later this year.
