BEN-W vs DEL-W: Bengal Women are all set to share the pitch with Delhi Women for the upcoming Quarterfinal 3 of the Women’s Senior One Day Trophy.
It was one heck of a performance by Bengal Women against Hyderabad Women in their previous fixture. Opener Vanitha VR scored an outstanding 71-ball 107 while skipper Dhar scored a brilliant 112-ball 104 to get Bengal to a humongous total of 322/5.
While chasing, it was a disappointing display with the bat as neither of the batters took responsibility to score quickly. However, Vanka Pooja did a commendable job by scoring an unbeaten 138-ball 75 but couldn’t get her team over the line.
On the other hand, Delhi Women are walking into this encounter with an easy win against J&K in the pre-quarter-final. Soni Yadav’s 2/6 and Ayushi Soni’s 2/20 helped restrict J&K for 85/8. While chasing, Priya Punia’s 46 helped Delhi bag an easy eight-wicket win.
As the two teams lock horns, it will get intense. However, Bengal have been in sublime form with batters scoring hundreds and bowlers doing exceptionally well. They have a better shot at winning this match.
