England receives a massive boost with Stokes’ return

Ben Stokes was England’s most impactful player in the previous Ashes. His return will boost the morale of the English team, which had lost two games against India recently. The all-rounder will add balance and experience to the squad. England’s middle-order concerns will also get resolved with Stokes’ return.

Talking about the return of Ben Stokes, Ashley Giles, Managing Director of England Men’s Cricket, said, “Time and time again, Ben has demonstrated how important he is to the England team and having him available for the Ashes series is excellent news for all of us and, in particular, Chris (Silverwood), Joe (Root) and the rest of the players.”

Until a few days ago, there were doubts if the Ashes would continue. However, ECB has confirmed that the tournament will happen with the selection of the squad. The tournament will start on December 8th in Australia.
