Sikander Raza registers himself for the IPK 2023 auction
Zimbabwe all-rounder Sikander Raza is rated as one of the best players among all the low-ranked teams. His ability to contribute equally with the bat as well as the ball put him right alongside the top all-rounders in the world.
Raza’s staggering display with both bat and ball was one of the main reasons behind Zimbabwe’s qualifying for the T20 World Cup 2022. However, he didn’t stop there as he played well in the tournament as well and gave his side a real chance to qualify for the semi-final.

Raza finished as Zimbabwe’s highest run-scorer in the tournament, with 219 runs to his name at a strike rate of 147.97. He also picked up 10 wickets with a decent economy of 6.50. One of the main highlights of his campaign was when his bowling performance set up the shock win over Pakistan.
Raza has now registered himself for the IPL 2023 auction. It’s fair to say many franchises would have kept a keen eye on him during the T20 World Cup 2022. He has set himself the base price of INR 20 lacs and with the kind of ability he has, it is expected that he will feature in the tournament this year.
“Playing IPL is an honour for me, I don’t have a particular team. & I just love the IPL,” says Sikander Raza
Raza himself has now opened up about his excitement to play in IPL. The Zimbabwe all-rounder said that be it, Rohit Sharma, MS Dhoni or Hardik Pandya’s team, he does have a particular team as he just loves the IPL. Speaking to RevSprots, he said:
“Playing IPL is an honour for me. Whether I’m part of Rohit Sharma’s team or be it MS Dhoni bhai team or KL Rahul’s team or Rishabh Pant or Hardik Pandya’s team, it really doesn’t matter. I don’t have a particular team. & I just love the IPL.”
