He produced another magnificent performance with the bat as he scored his 46th ton in ODIs and took his team to a comfortable position in the ongoing third game against Sri Lanka. His 74th International century was another example of why is he considered among the greats to have played the game of cricket. Kohli came to bat when India lost skipper Rohit Sharma in in 16th over of 42 runs.
Kohli looked very optimistic right from ball 1 and played staggering strokes all over the ground. This was his second hundred of the series with the first one coming in the opening game of the series. With his ton, he surpassed Sachin Tendulkar with the most ODI hundreds at home.
Kohli’s century took India past 350 runs as he staggering crafted his innings and made a mockery of the Sri Lankan bowling lineup. After scoring century, he unleashed his beast mode as he played only in one way and smashed almost every ball all over the park. The right-hander scored his 150 in just 106 runs and then ended his innings with 166-run knock. He smashed 13 fours and 8 sixes his innings.
