CSK’s batting has not been good in IPL 2025. While they got their ideas right with the replacement signings, one or two more good signings could make this line-up world-class. Here, we take a look at the list of three batters CSK must target to upgrade the batting line-up.
1) Ben Duckett
It looks like Ayush Mhatre, Urvil Patel and Ruturaj Gaikwad will be the Top 3 for IPL 2026. However, both Ayush and Urvil are inexperienced. A left-handed big-hitter could also be desired. In this regard, Ben adds great value to the side.
2) Cameron Green will upgrade the CSK batting line-up
In many ways, Green will improve the CSK squad. He could bat at No.3 or could even come in as the finisher. Plus, he offers four overs of hit-the-deck bowling. He shall be a future captaincy material, as well. Therefore, Green must be a priority for CSK.
3) Tim Seifert
The Kiwi is in great form these days. He has been scoring runs at a top strike rate. CSK needs a big-hitter like him. While he is an opener, he could be trusted to operate at No.3, as well. Importantly, he is a genuine keeper and if MS Dhoni leaves, Tim could be a choice.
