According to a blockbuster announcement, John Cena appears to be preparing to make a triumphant comeback in Saudi Arabia after a five-year absence.

The last time fans saw John Cena in action in Saudi Arabia was at the historic Greatest Royal Rumble event in 2018. During that memorable event, the veteran squared off against Triple H in a thrilling singles match, ultimately emerging victorious. Cena has never been a part of the Crown Jewel show.

Now, wrestling enthusiasts have every reason to be excited, as John Cena’s return to Saudi Arabia is on the horizon, with his appearance confirmed for Crown Jewel 2023. While WWE has yet to make an official announcement, the news broke via the official Twitter handle of Riyadh Season. In a clip embedded below, the 8:38 mark reveals Riyadh Season’s announcement of Cena’s participation at Crown Jewel.

Cena’s last visit to Saudi Arabia in 2018 left an indelible mark on him, as he expressed his joy and gratitude for the opportunity to perform in front of his Saudi fans. Reflecting on his match with Triple H, Cena remarked,

“What an honor and a privilege it is to be allowed to be a part of an event like today. Regardless of what is going on in my universe, I was not going to miss this event for anything in the world. I want to send a genuine thank you to the kingdom of Saudi Arabia … for its unmatched hospitality that extends far beyond this evening.
