Asia Cup 2022 will be played in UAE and Dubai pitch report is something which a lot of cricket fans will be interested in, because when the last T20 World Cup was held in UAE less than a year ago, the pitches at Dubai international cricket stadium had influenced the results of quite a few games. The teams batting first seemed to have struggled in most of the games in Dubai.
The T20 World Cup had taken place at three venues of UAE, but for the Asia Cup 2022, Abu Dhabi has not been picked as one of the venues. All the games will be played in Dubai and Sharjah, with Dubai organising the majority of the games including all the Super 4 games and the final.

It was not easy batting first in Dubai at all when the T20 World Cup matches took place at this venue last winter. The new ball did seam around a little bit with the start being scheduled at 6 pm local time, but what created further problems for the batsmen was the fact that the ball stuck into the surface as well and didn’t really come on to the bat properly.
The nature of the pitch significantly improved in the second innings of many games, as the dew made its appearance and the ball started skidding onto the bat nicely. The Dubai pitch report might not change too much for Asia Cup 2022 either.

Teams, which have won the toss in T20 games at Dubai international cricket stadium, have gone on to win 59% of the games which is a testimony to the fact that it is very crucial to win the toss at this venue.
In the last T20 World Cup, West Indies had lost the toss against England in their first match of the tournament in Dubai and they had to bat first. The Caribbean team, with star studded T20 players, was bowled out for just 55 runs, as the ball seamed and gripped a lot in the first 10 overs of the innings. The trend continued, more or less the same way, for the entire T20 World Cup.
